|In addition to having been an in-house editor at Rhemalda Publishing, I have spent time in both a children’s and Big Five publishing house. I have worked on novels from the acquisitions stage to editing to writing back cover copy.
Having also lived and worked on both sides of the pond, I am equally comfortable editing American and British English.
|I have a first class degree in Journalism, Media, and Cultural Studies from Cardiff University and have undertaken a proofreading course to further hone my attention to detail.|
|What I edit|
|I have experience editing young adult, new adult fiction, and adult commercial fiction. The genres I specialize in are fantasy, science fiction, action & adventure, suspense, contemporary, and women’s fiction.|
|How I edit|
|For American projects, I use the Chicago Manual of Style and the Merriam-Webster Dictionary. For British ones, I use the Oxford Guide to Style and the Oxford English Dictionary.
I have however worked with a number of diverse house styles and so can easily adapt to different guidelines if necessary.
